Frequently Asked Questions

  • I offer individual therapy for adults ages 25-65. I also offer EMDR specific therapy for anyone working with another therapy provider and wanting to add this intervention to their treatment. I provide virtual services through a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.

  • I am licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

  • I am an in-network provider with Aetna, Highmark/BCBS, and United Health Care/Optum insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company to understand your coverage.

If I am not a participating provider for your insurance plan, my rate is $165 per hour. I can supply you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for out-of-network benefit reimbursement.

  • Our first appointment is when we will start to get to know one another. I’ll ask questions to gather an understanding of current difficulties, history, and your reasons for seeking therapy at this time. You will have the space to identify what you want to work on and your goals for therapy. The first session is also a time for you to assess how comfortable you feel working with me and if we are a good fit.

  • EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation to help the brain safely reprocess a traumatic memory without having to relive it in detail. EMDR focuses on reducing emotional intensity and changing the way negative thoughts are stored in the brain, which allows you to process the information. EMDR has been shown to be effective for treating trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, and other mental health conditions.

If you are interested in EMDR in your treatment, we can discuss how it would apply to you and your goals to determine if it’s the right fit.
